Q. Welcome to u1 gallery. We are so grateful to be able to interview you. We can never thank you enough. Could you introduce yourself and your works? How did you begin creating art?

A. Thank you so much lovie darling! I love U1 Gallery and I am so grateful for this interview.

I’m Candi Soul Sparkles also known as Soul Sparkles and I am an artist! I have always been in love with nature and being able to share my emotions and my love for life and the Creator of that life Ahayah, through art and I have been doing this since I was very little, as a child it was truly the best and at times only way for me to freely express myself.

Q. Could you describe one artwork or series from your oeuvre that you feel it was pivotal in your career?

A. I would love to give one artwork or series that was pivotal for me, but I feel as though that is some thing that I almost cannot do, lol, as every piece has been extremely pivotal for me, but if I was going to press myself into giving an answer of one or series, I would say the beginning series of my life, when I was a sweet tiny lass that first touch of paint on your fingers while entertaining yourself in the bathe, lol, like how wild is this I thought, and I say this because I know it carried me into the understanding of how much I love this feeling I get when creating, painting and drawing, I started with those crayons, those markers and those finger paints! Lol Next thing I know, I’m here! All of my art together is the treasure that has led me to this moment, and each one is like a song that dives into my heart, and my soul, and gives me a rhythm in my hands.

Q. Could you talk about the process of creating and the way of expressing your work?

A. Sure darling! First thing I do is I always take a moment to pray to Yashiya before I start anything, it is absolutely my most important piece of the process. Each piece is its own process really some take minutes, some days or even weeks, but the common process is patience to allow this emotional moment to blossom out of me. I never rush, haste makes waste, I always must embrace the moment fully. When that inspirational moment hits, it doesn’t matter where I am or what I’m doing it’s time to create, and I make the time, and I dive in even if I only have a couple of crayons in my purse and a napkin in front of me, I will do my best to bring forth whatever is in my soul. I have been known to draw with on my walls or if I’m out and don’t have what I need, my arms, legs will do fine lol I ’m not favorable to missing an opportunity of inspiration, when it knocks, it knocks! I think my most favorite creating place is relaxing on a beach and doing my art!

I had this beautiful, king size white down comforter, and each square turned into my mini canvas I drew on the whole thing with markers, this was a time when I could not afford any canvases or nice paints, so maybe I ran out of paper, then it was just me and my comforter some coloured pencils and markers! lol

Q. Are there any artists or works that have influenced you?

A. Yes I’m entirely influenced by Ahayah, I mean look at this earth these scenes of life, look at us, spiritual beings walking about, I’m so thankful each day I wake up, like, I’m breathing right now WoW and I never even think about having to do it, it just happens, look at all the flora and fauna! It’s beyond anything, it’s literally a unmatchable miracle before me that I’m experiencing! That’s inspiring and has influenced every aspect of my being!

Q. Where do you get the inspiration for your work?

A. They just come to me, I will even wake up in the middle of the night and start working on something because I had a dream, as I dream in bright very realistic yet fantastic fantasy style or even if I have had premonition about something which I get often, my sweet husband and my little angels playing about all through the house, maybe I’m out for a hike and see two people in love or birds soaring on the wind, flowers dancing to the song of the trees a leaf falling or just seasons where everything is changing colours, children’s laughter, life inspires me, all of Creation give me an endless supply of joy to work with.

Q. What do you hope that the audience takes away from your art?

A. I want everything I create to bring growth, love, faith, understanding, encouragement to everyone who sees it or brings it into their presence, I want everyone to feel the spirit of love overwhelmingly! I pour my heart into everything I do so I pray that reaches out of the art into their hearts and souls makes someone want to try again, start living in their passion, loving themselves, seeing Yashiya and His love for each of us is something that changes lives and I want my art to change lives in the most beautiful way possible!

Q. What is your dream project? Could you tell us your plans and aspirations as an artist?

A. Oh my! Well I have so many, lol, I want to be able to share my art with everyone everywhere I want to have my work absolutely anywhere it can be, I want to own my own gallery someday to help share other artists that may not be as noticed but are remarkable, I want to start charities were art works are auctioned to make funding for people without homes to have one and give food to people who are in need to provide education opportunities and whatever else is needed. I want my art to open doors for people who never thought it was possible for them to experience true happiness and love surrounding them.

Q. Would you like to add something readers should know about you and your art?

A. Ummmm! lol…. Just that never give up on the fact you can do and be whatever your heart is purposed for, you can live in your passion, sure it takes work and time but that doesn’t mean you should not start, even if it is in a very small way do it, have faith that you were created to be successful whatever that success looks like, not all success looks the same so do not compare or compete with anyone, there is only one you, do not take that for granted, no one can do what you do the way you do it! You were made particularly and Divinely by love, you are not to take yourself for granted but cherish yourself no matter who else does, you matter and I love you, I believe in you and I’m praying you have all the blessings that were made for you! I’m also always around to help anyone who wants to purchase my work, I’m a designer as well as an artist so if your not sure what you want, unsure what will fit a particular style or area of your palace, office, business, garden, hotel or home if your place needs a brilliant addition, my art is that thing so just ask, I will always do my best to guide my darling clients to the best possible outcome! My art awaits its new life with you! Yashiya blessings to you all!
